Social Action Forum Irinjalakuda (SAFI) is the official social work and development agency of the Catholic Diocese of Irinjalakuda. It was established in 1978 and registered under the Twelfth Travancore – Cochin Literacy, Scientific and Charitable Societies Act XII of 1955, vide Registration No. 166/83 dated 10th August 1983.

SAFI functions in 134 parishes of the diocese spread over area of 1180 sq. km, for the sustainable development of the society with a special focus on the weaker sections of the community irrespective of caste and creed or gender. It envisages a society where the resources available in the society are accessible to everybody by which an integrated development of the individual will be realized.
