Social Action Forum is the official Developmental organization through participatory approach, of the Catholic Diocese of Irinjalakuda, registered in 1983, SAFI functions at 130 parishes spread over area of 1180 sq. km. to improve the conditions of the less privileged irrespective of any differences in caste or community. SAFI is registered under the Travancore – Cochin Literacy , Scientific and Charitable Societies Act XII of 1955 vide Registration No. 166/83 dated 10th August 1983.

Foster and strengthen Community Based Organizations (CBO's). Give initiative to people for their right to live a dignited human life. People’s participation in the development process. Revival of natural and organic agriculture aiming at food security. Community based and Institutionalized rehabilitation. Promote an eco-friendly human existence. Train people to be self-reliant for leading a better life. Facilitate the integration process of all developmental activities in the Diocese.
